Maintenance
Keeping a software system running reliably requires ongoing maintenance. The chief aims here are to take account of changes in the IT environment and to meet new user requirements arising from ongoing technical developments and advances.
By inviting customers to choose a mode of maintenance most closely meeting their requirements, Spirit GmbH offers customers flexibility in relation to system maintenance for PacOnline®. As a system designed as a largely standard system, PacOnline® does not require the individual customer maintenance which individual solutions require. The benefits are two-fold:
- System maintenance costs can be kept relatively low in comparison with individual solutions.
- General upgrades benefit the entire user community.
The upgrade cycle for the system is generally a 12-monthly one.
