packaging development is the proofing of documents for
text and graphic errors. Furthermore, the correctness
of the packaging templates (shape and size) is of great
importance.
PacOnline® offers a unique functionality for this purpose. Users
all over the world can proof their documents, web-based
by means of a browser without the necessity of any local
software installation.
PacOnline®'s
process control informs the pre-defined proof readers
by means of messaging once the artwork document has
been completed. Using a browser these proof readers
can then perform their proofing. Zooming, measuring
and rotating are just as possible as attaching annotations
which are saved with the version and user information
and can be viewed when proof reading later versions.
Text writers have the benefit of further
help in connection with the Automated Artwork Generation,
as texts need to be entered into the system once only.
Inadvertant changes become impossible thus making continuous,
repeated full proof reading unnecessary.
In some cases the proof readers may
require the opinion of others. In this case it is possible
to circulate the document in various modes. The persons
involved in the circular are then able to view the central
document and attach annotations.
